1. A private relationship
This was the title of the film in Spain.
The original title was more impressive: "Une Liaison pornographique." But if the title changed the original Spanish, in English it was surreal: "An Affair of Love" (To Have an affair, in English, is having an affair)
Spanish poster and the title remains in French under the original title, but in English has not only lost the original title, but the title retranslated into French, and call it "Une Liaison D'Amour" ( !) (which is not French, nor anything)
I imagine the discussions of the departments marqueting of distributors, among those defending the right of the author to call his film as he wants, and who think that dirty word scares the public. Again, he had to win won.
And that was the movie?
